The cruise will call 34 ports, so there’s plenty of options on how to take the cruises. One the way up you will also see a lot of ships coming down, because there’s so many ships that do this cruise!
Sometimes the ship will anchor for five or six hours, and sometimes the ship will leave after 45 minutes. There’s also variations in the season. In the summer the Hurtigrutten does the Geiranger fjord, which is a beautiful fjord! You can choose to get off before and spend the day in Ă…lesund or you can choose to stay on board and experience the beautiful Geiranger fjord!

Geiranger Fjord
Along the cruise you will see majestic mountains, little vilages, bigger cities (such as Bergen) and amazing fjords! The trip is about 1,250 miles (about 2000 kilometers).
